Kindermusik with Samantha Drohan Policies - Please read.

We are happy to welcome you to the Kindermusik with Samantha Drohan family. Please take a moment to review our policies. By registering your child for Kindermusik, you automatically agree to the following policies. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or by email.

We can't wait to see you in person, in the safest possible way!

EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2022 masks are optional for everyone. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. But for now...let's enjoy!

With a medical advisory board of doctors, nurses & CDC employees, we are ready to safely return in person for a new School Year of Kindermusik classes. (Yes. We. Are.)

These policies will be updated as need be as the medical community continues to learn more and will be adjusted as current Covid-19 information is released. That said, with the following specifications outlined, we’ll be able to significantly mitigate risk attending our in-person classes and can continue to enjoy gathering as a musical community.

In order for our new safety policies and protocol to be effective, we must work together and make it a team effort. The most effective risk mitigation includes adult physical distancing, adults wearing masks and hand washing.

  • Our Kindermusik teachers are vaccinated and will wear masks during class.
  • They may remove their masks during teaching while maintaining physical distance to better communicate with class participants, but will replace their masks if they are in close proximity with your family. Some educators may choose to wear masks throughout the class.
  • Seating inside and outside the classroom will be staggered to support social distancing 6 feet. We ask that you leave shoes and belongings on a seat outside of the classroom.
  •  Limited class sizes to accommodate social distancing in the classroom. Currently, it is one caregiver per child when classes are indoors.
  •  Sanitized instruments. We will set out individual instruments or props to each family with pre-sanitized hands. Regardless of how your items are distributed, we are super vigilant about making sure your safety is not compromised.
  • We will clean and sanitize the classroom, all instruments/props and touchpoints. (We always did and always will....)
  • We will wash our hands and/or use hand sanitizer upon admittance to the classroom, during and after.

  • Wearing masks significantly limits the spread of Covid-19. There are NO health risks to wearing a mask for 40-45 minutes of class.
  • Properly fitted masks that cover the mouth AND NOSE are required for all individuals age 5 and up, regardless of vaccination status. We highly recommend children over 2 through 4 wear masks also. In order to prevent educators from needing to assess vaccination status or having our studio record and store your personal health information, we will ask that everyone wears a mask so that children who can’t yet receive the vaccine are protected.
  • We understand that young children may have challenges wearing a mask—we ask that you do your best to help your child wear their mask correctly. Even if you are vaccinated, wearing a mask will help support your child and demonstrate solidarity to encourage your child in wearing their mask correctly.
  • Bringing your child to class should assume some risk, for kids will be kids.
  • Children under 5 are welcome to wear masks if tolerated, but will not be expected to.
  • Children 5 and older who wear masks to school/daycare and tolerate masks well are strongly encouraged to wear them for the short time we meet in Kindermusik. When Kindermusik begins, we will examine the CDC guidelines for this age-group again more closely.
  • We ask that you use hand sanitizer before, during and after class. If your prefer to wash your hands using hot water and soap before class, you will have access to a bathroom where it will be provided. This very simple and basic habit is one of the most effective ways to keep COVID-19 at bay.

  • Do NOT attend class if you or your child is ill. Please stay home and join us online for a make-up class.
  • Teachers will immediately cancel in-person class and may hold online if they are ill.
  • This policy is very strict and for the benefit of us all. Do not enter the building when you or your child is sick.

If your or your child's temperature is 100.4 within the last two days, please stay home and choose a virtual class instead.

You (and our teachers) may NOT enter the building if you answer YES to any of the following questions:

  • Have you or your child been exposed to anyone with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
  • Are you experiencing any coughing, shortness of breath or sore throat?
  • Have you experienced any loss of taste or smell?
  • Have you experiences any vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours?
  • Do you have a thick nasal discharge?
  • Have you had a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit today or within the last 48 hours?

Please note that we understand if you must miss class for any reason--not just for illness. Our makeup policy is that you may make up your class in any developmentally appropriate class that is running.
